Our experienced Driver Trained OTs assess how a person’s physical impairment or deficit may affect their driving. We work with a variety of conditions including:
- Amputations
- Spina bifida
- Cerebral palsy
- Spinal cord injuries
- Brachial plexis injuries
- Side effects from stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
- Peripheral neuropathy or upper/lower limb weakness
Our Driver Trained OTs can prescribe vehicle modifications to ensure that drivers can drive safely with their physical injury or disability. We also develop driving rehabilitation plans so people can learn to drive with their prescribed vehicle modifications in all forms of traffic.
