Family & Friends – Do You Think a Medical Issue is Potentially Impacting Their Driving?

Concerned about a loved one’s driving?

If you think that a family member or friend may have a medical issue potentially affecting their driving, you should organise a doctor’s appointment.

Your GP is usually the first step in assessing or diagnosing any potential medical conditions.

If you need any advice regarding this, feel free to get in touch with us.

If required, your doctor can organise a referral for an OT driving assessment or directly notify the RMS about the medical concern.

In the case of the latter, you will receive more information from the RMS about organising the assessment.

Fees

Our fees vary depending on the nature of the referral and medical condition. We see self-paying clients, NDIS, insurance DVA and My Aged Care referrals.

A woman in a light blue shirt consults with an occupational therapist holding a tablet, discussing an OT driving assessment. The conversation may involve topics such as driving after a stroke, NDIS driving assessments, or driving with conditions like autism, intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, dementia, or other disabilities.
